Capital Culture Route Festival Draws Intense Interest
On its second day, the Capital Culture Route Festival in Ankara, part of the Türkiye Culture Route Festivals organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, attracted a flood of visitors. It is considered one of the most comprehensive cultural and artistic projects in the world.
The Capital Culture Route Festival in Ankara, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to contribute to Türkiye's international brand value, continues to attract significant interest. The festival, which will continue until October 1, has seen intense participation in all activities.
AUGMENTED REALITY AT CSO ADA ANKARA
On the second day of the festival, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Batuhan Mumcu met with members of the press at CSO Ada Ankara to provide information about the festival. Later, Deputy Minister Mumcu, along with curator Beste Gürsu and the artists, visited the "Augmented Reality" exhibition. The exhibition "Augmented Reality," where artists come together to convey not only their original cultures but also the experiences they have accumulated, will meet art lovers for free in the CSO Ada Ankara foyer during the festival.
ONCE A SEA'S SHORE
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Batuhan Mumcu then visited the 'Once a Sea's Shore / Contemporary Art of the Dolomites' exhibition at CerModern as part of the festival, accompanied by the press. During the visit, which was also accompanied by Francesco De Stefani, the Chief Secretary of the Economic and Trade Office of the Embassy of Italy in Ankara, Cultural Attaché Maria Luisa Scolari explained the details of the exhibition. The exhibition, consisting of works by 10 artists, aims to explore the past, reflect the present, and dream about the future.
THE SELECTION OF TURKISH AND BOSNIAN CURATORS
The 'Once Upon a Time Sarajevo' exhibition, consisting of works by 20 valuable artists from the 18th century and considered one of the most important collections of the Sarajevo Museum, has also attracted intense interest as part of the Capital Culture Route Festival activities. The collection of 122 pieces, prepared by Turkish and Bosnian curators and depicting slices of life from Sarajevo Turks, has been brought abroad for the first time and is now being displayed at the National Library Complex. The selection, which consists of four thematic groups, takes art lovers on a unique journey through markets and neighborhoods, back streets, crafts and workshops, landscapes, panoramas, and everyday life portraits.
WORKS BY SEVEN ARTISTS ALONGSIDE EVERYDAY LIFE IN ANATOLIA
The 'Ethnographic Reality in Art' exhibition, which can be seen at the Ankara Painting and Sculpture Museum throughout the festival, conveys to art lovers the living, evolving process of culture as it grows, develops, and matures within itself. Prepared with paintings from the Ankara Painting and Sculpture Museum collection alongside a selection of ethnographic products from the collection of the General Directorate of Research and Training of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the exhibition sheds light on a part of our culture and art history through the meeting of two different disciplines. The exhibition features striking examples of Turkish painting art and milestones in our painting history from seven artists, alongside everyday life objects from various regions of Anatolia.
FESTIVAL ENTHUSIASM WITH SUNDAY CONCERTS
On the second day of the Capital Culture Route Festival, the İkilem band met with Ankara residents at the Capital Nation’s Garden Main Stage. Can Ozan performed his beloved hit songs at the CSO Ada Ankara Main Hall, while the Cermodern Open-Air concerts featured Jazz for Kids, Gülçin Ergül Ft. the Canto Orchestra, and Ayhan Sicimoğlu and the Latin All Stars Orchestra, providing enjoyable hours for Ankara residents.
